The law I don’t like in the world today is the law
against woman driving in Saudi Arabia. It’s a Fatwa on woman’s driving of
automobiles prohibits women from driving and from obtaining a driver’s license.
Saudi Arabia is a country who has so many ridicules laws against woman’s right.
I just chose one of them. The life of a woman in Saudi is like she cannot apply
makeup, no independence from the guardian, a male guardian is supposed to
accompany woman all the time, a woman supposed to cover herself entire body in
public places and deprived of job opportunities. The ban on woman’s driving
does not make any sense. Per the International Labor organization, Saudi woman
providing less than 20% of the national workforce. The government statement
about the ban on female drivers claim that it is a societal issue. The women of
Saudi tried to voice their discomforts in the country. The Human Rights Watch
about the informal ban on female driving in Saudi became official state policy
in 1990. Saudi is under its poor human rights record. The limits of the gender
equality have long been tolerated, but its impact on the woman should not be
stay longer. They must have to change their laws against woman to meet their
rights and needs. But the Prince of the country is still saying that Saudi is
not ready to end the ban on woman’s driving.
I can understand each country has its own laws and
rules but these kinds of laws are ridiculous. They don’t have any sense. United
Nation should have to encourage Saudi to change their law against women. As
Martin Luther King said “Injustice any ware is a threat to justice every ware”.
If we believe so then we should have to unite and fight for the justice.
