Task: Get someone to meet you somewhere

I had a tattoo consultation in Cambridge today and I told my farther I was stranded and needed a ride back home, so I asked him if he was free to meet me at the shop and pick me up and he followed through and did. I wasn't really in desperate need of a ride but I figured this would be a good chance to get my task done.

My strategy was effective, I made it seem like I had no other way of getting home.

I would have felt guilty if he was in the middle of something important but I made sure first that he was around and able to do it.
