The idea of big data collection plays a
vital hidden role in modern day retail and economics. For those who
do not know, big data is the collection and analysis of data
regarding consumer patterns, an example would be CVS collecting what
consumers are buying and from there determine what is being purchased
more often during certain seasons. With so much data being stored on
the average consumer, people are beginning to see this data
collection as an invasion of privacy.
Misty, I wish you had expanded on this a little more! This is a great case, and more analysis would make your post much stronger. Check out Neo and Megaman's posts, and consider the differences between your three perspectives on the privacy/security tradeoffs.
