BE Patience

was hard, to gel some names but it helps to be patient, i have the following names
baivarapatishCylan
MadamBrown
Generalcomander
rajarhekingred
neoyellow
megamanbloo
well no bad hu.. as i say being patient brings good stuff;)

So far so good, somewhat

I've figured out a total of 7 anonymous names plus their identity:
Madambrown
generalcommandersmokegrey
brothercinereous
neoyellow
megamanbloo
missmistyrose

Some through scavenging browser history after class and some through manipulation :D

Let The Games Begin

This first Social Engineering Task was a tough one. Everyone is holding onto their names pretty tightly, but I do have one connection. I know the identity of Baivarapatish Cyan (WINK). I got this person's hacker name by the easiest trick of promising my own. We each "wrote" our hacker names on a piece of paper and handed it to each other. I got a name which seemed to fit the criteria of a title and color, while Cyan got a drawing of a pig my friend of mine made and I wrote a little gibberish to make it look like I was writing my name.

I now know that my anonymity is compromised as Cyan now knows who I am but at least I got Cyan's name first with Style. Let it be known who has won the first round, Cyan.

Let the Games Begin,
MistyRose

Bloggers

Unfortunately I haven't had much success is, although I do know who Megaman Bloo is, but this person also knows who I am. As I'm in class today I'll take a mental image of people and try to match them to the different names I see.

Me?

Cyan, one of the strongest people you will ever meet, and one of the most beautiful colors.

Wink at me if you know who I am J

Documentary

Thanks for a great first day!

Please watch this documentary on hacking and Anonymous.

Then, please make a comment on this post by 9:00 PM on Monday addressing the following question and making an argument about it.  Early on in the video, a lyric by Bob Dylan is quoted: "To live outside the law you must be honest."  What do you think this means, as it applies to ethical hacking but also in general?  Is it possible to both be honest and live outside the law?  Support this with ideas, reasons, and examples.  Sign your post with your real first name and last initial--or, if you don't want to do that, email Monica (email is on the syllabus) and tell me who you are.

Stay safe in the snow!
